O jornal britânico “The Guardian” publicou um manifesto assinado por 20 parlamentares britânicos, nesta quinta (26), condenando o impeachment da presidente Dilma Rousseff e o golpe de Estado no Brasil.
Segundo os signatários do documento, o processo é um insulto à democracia do país.
“Condenamos a suspensão da presidente Dilma Rousseff no Brasil. É errado que alguns parlamentares pisoteiem a vontade política expressada nas urnas por 54 milhões de brasileiros”, diz um trecho do manifesto.
Noutro trecho, os parlamentares britânicos não poupam o interino Michel Temer (PMDB) ao afirmarem que “o novo governo mostrou suas verdadeiras cores ao indicar um ministério não representativo, só de homens, e lançar políticas neoliberais que vão machucar milhões de trabalhadores e pobres”.
“O governo interino não tem mandato para implementar políticas que revertem os programas sociais que retiraram 40 milhões de pessoas da pobrezas”, frisa o documento assinado pelos deputado do Partido Trabalhista inglês.

We condemn the suspension of President Dilma Rousseff in Brazil. It is thoroughly wrong that a few parliamentarians trample upon the political will expressed at the ballot box by 54 million Brazilians. The new government has shown its true colours by appointing a non-representative, all-male, cabinet and launching neoliberal policies that will hurt millions of working and poorer people. The interim government has no mandate to implement policies that reverse the social programmes that took 40 million people out of poverty. We join Brazil’s progressive political and social movements, and groups from across global civil society including the trade union movement, in condemning this attempt to overthrow democracy in Brazil.
